TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Liability
By checking the box below and/or accepting delivery/control of the rental equipment, you agree to release Ottawa BBQ Rental from all liability relating to injuries that may occur during transportation, storage, and operation of the rental equipment. You agree to hold Ottawa BBQ Rental entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
Cancellations:
We will happily refund your full rental fee if reservation is cancelled at least 10 days in advance of the reservation date. Cancellations made with less than 10 days to the reservation date will be subject to a charge equal to 50% of the rental cost. The reason for this policy is that most butchers require at least one week to order a pig. If you give us less than 10 days of notice of cancellation, it's very unlikely that we'll be able to find a customer who can get a pig in time.
Cleaning and Damage Deposit
You agree to:
1. To return your rented item(s) in the clean condition that they were at the time of pickup. Failure to do so will result in a $40 cleaning fee to be taken from this security deposit.
a) For rotisseries and the Caja China, this means removing the charcoal ashes and scrubbing all food surfaces (spit rod, forks, trussing rods, grease trays etc.).
b) For propane grills, this includes brushing down the grill surface with the wire brush provided and wiping down all surfaces to remove grease, barbecue sauce and food spills.
2. To return all rented item(s) in the same operating condition as they were at the time of pickup.
a) The value of lost and/or damaged parts will be taken from this security deposit.
b) In the event that the deposit does not cover the entirety of the damage/loss, all additional costs will be charged to the renter by way of invoice to be paid within 30 days of the rental end date.
As a note, we are very fair. Reasonable wear and tear is expected, and sometime things happen. That said, these units are not cheap, and the replacement parts are expensive and hard to source. Negligence (e.g. leaving out in the rain) and loss of parts are your responsibility as the renter.
